  1. Xmas eMoviX version is out!

  3. After three months from the release of eMoviX 0.8.0, finally eMoviX 0.9.0pre1 is out!
  4. This release is a major improvement respect to v0.8.0:
  5.  
  6.     * Internals changed completely: the distro is now based on the clever  
  7.       movix-builder mechanism by Balazs Barany.
  8.  
  9.       In particular it is now based on Debian and the whole distro can be totally 
  10.       rebuilt for easy customization just running a few commands on any linux distro.
  11.  
  12.     * The boot is now graphical (bootsplash)
  13.     * All MPlayer patches added in the last months to MoviX and MoviX2 have been
  14.       now added to eMoviX, so that now:
  15.          1. you can access the MPlayer menu while playing music
  16.          2. you can use the MPlayer menu to play cd/dvd/vcd/acd
  17.          3. you can switch audio/subs from within MPlayer
  18.          4. you get the MPlayer menu after the playback is over
  19.  
  20. This version has been thoroughly tested before releasing it (special thanks to 
  21. Jochen Puchalla for his extra-thorough bug-fixings!), but since bugs are 
  22. endless ;-) help us fixing the remaining ones and suggesting new features!
